The paper considers the technique of modeling and formation educational components of the planned training of CDIO Syllabus, realized in the form of the educational adaptive environment of engineering education. The following key concepts of the methodology have been accepted: competence models of the stages of the CDIO initiative, the method of project training, syntax for describing the concepts of the domain, models for mapping support concepts in the form of expressions of knowledge and ontological engineering.

Ontology selection is an important challenge in the field of ontology engineering. A feasible solution of ontology selection is to measure and evaluate the candidate ontologies, and further select and reuse the high-quality ontologies from them according to some measurement criteria. In this paper, we designed an ontology measurement system (ONTOM) for measuring the quality of candidate ontologies by integrating our semantic ontology metrics into ONTOM. The experiments show that ONTOM can effective measure the semantic quality of ontologies for ontology reuse.

W artykule przedstawiono system pomiaru ontologii ONTOM, realizujący dwie główne funkcje: pomiar semantyk ontologii oraz określenie parametru jakościowego ontologii. W pierwszym punkcie dokonany jest dobór czynników, które należy uwzględnić w pomiarze. W drugim kroku działań chodzi o określenie parametru odzwierciedlającego ontologię danego kandydata. Przedstawiono wyniki badań eksperymentalnych.

The paper describes a lexical layer for ontologies and scenarios of its population. This layer extends lexical descriptions of the given ontology. It defines terms and their lexicalized meanings (given with contexts) associated with elements in the ontology. Additionally, it provides links to commonly used lexical knowledge resources.

W artykule jest opisana warstwa leksykalna (słownikowa) ontologii oraz scenariusze jej budowy. Ta warstwa rozszerza opisy słowne danej ontologii, definiuje znaczenia leksykalne za pomocą słów występujących w kontekście danego terminu oraz wiąże je z elementami ontologii. Możliwe jest dołączenie znaczeń leksykalnych zdefiniowanych za pomocą znanych zasobów, jak WordNet czy Wikipedia.

Knowledge portal is an approach used to provide view onto domain-specific information on the World Wide Web. In this paper, we present one approach by using ontology engineering as a conceptual backbone and relationships for knowledge extracting, structuring and formalizing in a comprehensive way for building knowledge portal. For illustration of a practical ontology development for knowledge portal, the described ideas are implemented in a system for international student service.
