Zmierzona wartość oporu przepływu powietrza stanowiła 60% wartości granicznej, a filtr powietrza usuwał aerozole nadal ze skutecznością filtracji zbliżoną do danych producenta (PM1 65%, PM2,5 70%, PM10 90%). Opracowane w CIOP-PIB stanowisko badawcze stanowi niezbędną podstawę do określania parametrów użytkowych filtrów powietrza w centralach HVAC.

Modern units are characterized by their design, diverse spaces, and various functions, which enable them to ensure adequate ventilation, air conditioning and air quality throughout the building. HVAC systems include the first stage of air purification, removing suspended particles. The key element of the HVAC unit is the multi-stage air filtration system, which consists of air filters. This article describes how to conduct periodic inspections of air filtration systems in the operating conditions of building HVAC units. The correct operation of a sample air filter was tested under operating conditions in the HVAC unit of a building in Warsaw. The measured airflow resistance was 60% of the limit value, and the air filter continued to remove aerosols with filtration efficiencies close to the manufacturer’s specifications (PM1: 65%, PM2.5: 70%, PM10: 90%). The test stand developed at CIOP-PIB provides an essential basis for determining the performance parameters of air filters in HVAC units.
The trend of using the Internet of Things (IoT) can be considered a so-called new technological revolution. This fact is confirmed by the ever-increasing number of connected devices around the world in all areas of life. The Internet of Things is defined as the interconnectedness of things, services and users. It is an interplay of intelligent devices and intelligent communication technologies. The flow of information and events generated by the device can be used to simplify management, monitoring and coordination processes. Communication with devices, users and services is key to the Internet of Things. Communication technologies affect the usability of the device. New communication networks are currently emerging for the Internet of Things. These include, in particular, networks for the transmission of a smaller data stream, which is typical for sensors and transducers, to the respective device. The success of these networks depends on availability, low cost, low power consumption, long range and ease of use. The mentioned technological solutions ultimately enable a higher degree of interoperability of users with the internal environment thanks to higher information and evaluation of the internal environment in real time. Thanks to these technologies, it is possible to increase user comfort and efficiency of using buildings as such. The aim of this article is to define the basic principles and connections within the IoT issue in connection with the effective management and operation of buildings as one of the prerequisites for sustainability in the field of construction.
In recent years, many industries have moved forward significantly in terms of digitisation. However, the construction sector is lagging far behind. A suitable solution to move the construction sector forward is the use of the Building In- formation Model (BIM). A building model developed in this way can be used not only for design and construction, but in recent years it has been shown that this model has the greatest benefit in the management and maintenance of t h e building itself. Thanks to modern support tools, it is possible to prevent failures in time and thus prevent the building from being decommissioned. In this context, this paper focuses on supporting digital tools such as: the in- formation model of the building, applications for building management and maintenance, which can be linked to the information model of the building to obtain a "living" building, which can be called the digital twin of the building. This paper also includes a case study that just deals with the connection of an existing building during management and maintenance with a BIM model. The aim of this paper is not only to increase the progress of digitalization in the building sector but also to show what benefits digital tools bring with them what are the future lines of research and what are the challenges associated with this issue.

The article discusses the importance of calculation tools used for analysis of the energy balance of buildings, with particular emphasis on the impact of the use of daylight. It was highlighted that there are interdependencies between factors that shape the energy demand for heat, cooling, lighting. The calculation results presented in the article indicate that calculated energy balance of a building may depend to a large extent on the calculation tools used. It was pointed out that in the case of the use of daylight, access to sunlight depends on a number of factors, therefore the way they are included in the computational model is are important for the accuracy of the results.
The design process in general, and the one for buildings in particular has evolved and become increasingly intricate, with additional layers and factors becoming relevant, as the drive towards sustainability (the Sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations in 2015) has gathered steam. This short chapter focuses on the diversity of issues which sustainable building design is likely to be influenced by, in the years ahead.

Budynki potrzebują energii do zapewnienia komfortu użytkownikom i funkcjonowania wyposażenia. Uzyskiwanie komfortu w poszczególnych pomieszczeniach budynku i funkcjonowanie urządzeń wymaga sterowania dostawami energii do pomieszczeń i urządzeń.
Tworzą one spójną całość w odniesieniu do wentylacji i ogrzewania po to, by budynki były niemal zeroenergetyczne.
Purpose: The topic of this article is the use of anchors bonded in the outer walls of threelayer large slab panel buildings in Poland. Design/methodology/approach: Comprehensive laboratory tests of anchoring systems bonded in various configurations were carried out. On this basis, the theoretical load capacity of the new bonded anchorages can be estimated. Findings: These considerations are the aftermath of the current problem of the former large slab panel buildings in Poland, and more specifically the risk of detachment of the external textured layer in the walls of three-layer large slab panel buildings. Research limitations/implications: The presented variants of experimental research and their comparison with the MES analysis indicate the directions of conduct in strengthening three-layer walls. It should be remembered that the use of additional reinforcement anchorages is practically a necessity, as the next stage of renewing large slab panel buildings is their thermo-modernization. Practical implications: This process results in an increase of the load on the external textured layer, and hence also on hangers. Originality/value: Experimental research is aimed at determining the optimal variant of application of bonded anchors.
