Foresight can be viewed as an approach to managing uncertainty—an instrument that enables foreseeing while actively shaping the future under conditions of unpredictability. The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has introduced new opportunities for foresight research. Although AI methods have not traditionally been part of the foresight canon, they offer significant potential for future applications. Integrating machine learning (ML) techniques into foresight research appears to be a natural progression. AI provides transformative capabilities by analysing complex datasets, uncovering hidden relationships, and generating data-driven recommendations. This work investigates the integration of AI tools into technology foresight projects by reviewing existing literature on their combined application. The analysis identifies the most frequently used AI and foresight methods, along with their primary objectives, providing a structured overview of current practices. Empirical analysis, based on data from a technology foresight project, demonstrates how AI can be utilised to enhance data analysis, thereby supporting theoretical considerations and complementing the traditional expert panel approach for technology clustering. The AI-assisted process provides a scalable alternative to traditional methods, with code tools, enhancing perspectives on identifying technology clusters, selecting key attributes, and incorporating expert self-assessment. However, the value of the proposed approaches lies more in a posteriori analysis, which can be utilised in future foresight projects regarding the attributes used for evaluation or the selection of expert panels. The diversity of proposed analyses demonstrates various interpretation possibilities but does not fundamentally influence the achievement of the main goal, which is the identification of key technologies.

AA7075 aluminium alloy thin plates are widely used in marine applications, particularly as skin panels for hydrofoil crafts, where surface grinding is an essential finishing operation. However, the influence of grinding parameters on mechanical behavior across different experimental run orders is not fully understood. This study examines the effects of surface grinding parameters on the mechanical properties of AA7075 thin plates, focusing on tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and elastic modulus. Specimens were ground according to the experimental design schedule and tested using a DI-CP/V2 servo-hydraulic testing machine. Tensile and yield strengths exhibited similar fluctuation trends, with tensile strength consistently higher than yield strength. During runs 1–20, strength values were relatively low and stable, followed by a sharp increase between runs 23 and 27, where tensile and yield strengths reached approximately 170 MPa and 155 MPa, respectively. A slight reduction occurred during the mid-runs, while further peaks after run 40 indicated improved surface integrity under specific grinding conditions. Ductility analysis showed total elongation of 6–13%, exceeding uniform elongation of 4–6%, indicating a stronger influence on post-necking deformation. The elastic modulus varied between 10 and 33 GPa, showing mid-run fluctuation and stabilization toward the final runs.

Cienkie blachy ze stopu aluminium AA 7075 są szeroko stosowane w zastosowaniach morskich, w szczególności jako panele poszycia wodolotów, gdzie szlifowanie powierzchni jest niezbędną operacją wykończeniową. Wpływ parametrów procesu szlifowania na właściwości mechaniczne materiału w różnych sekwencjach eksperymentalnych nie jest w pełni poznany. W niniejszym badaniu przeanalizowano wpływ parametrów szlifowania powierzchni na właściwości mechaniczne cienkich blach ze stopu aluminium AA7075, koncentrując się na wytrzymałości na rozciąganie, granicy plastyczności, wydłużeniu i module sprężystości. Próbki szlifowano zgodnie z planem eksperymentalnym i badano za pomocą serwohydraulicznej maszyny wytrzymałościowej DI-CP/V2. Wytrzymałość na rozciąganie i granica plastyczności wykazywały podobne trendy wahań, przy czym wytrzymałość na rozciąganie była wyższa niż granica plastyczności. W seriach 1–20 wartości wytrzymałości na rozciąganie były stosunkowo niskie i stabilne, po czym nastąpił gwałtowny wzrost między seriami 23 i 27, gdzie wytrzymałość na rozciąganie i granica plastyczności osiągnęły odpowiednio około 170 MPa i 155 MPa. Nieznaczne zmniejszenie wartości tych parametrów nastąpiło w trakcie przebiegów pośrednich, natomiast kolejny wzrost po serii 40. świadczy o poprawie integralności powierzchni w określonych warunkach szlifowania. Całkowite wydłużenie wyniosło 6–13%, przewyższając wydłużenie równomierne wynoszące 4–6%, co wskazuje na silniejszy wpływ szlifowania na odkształcenie po wystąpieniu przewężenia. Moduł sprężystości zmieniał się w zakresie od 10 do 33 GPa, wykazując wahania w trakcie przebiegu i stabilizację w raz ze wzrostem ilości serii.

This paper discusses the integration of generative AI into Linear Algebra teaching at the university level. We distinguish between the needs of mathematics majors, who benefit from AI as a scaffold for abstraction and proof, and engineering students, for whom AI supports modeling and computation. Examples illustrate how tasks can be redesigned to promote interpretation rather than rote calculation. Challenges and risks such as hallucinated proofs, plagiarism, or passivity are discussed. We conclude with recommendations for assessment practices and practical suggestions for embedding AI in undergraduate courses. The proposed approach redefines the role of manual computation and points to a future where AI is an enabler of deeper mathematical understanding.

W artykule przedstawiono propozycje wykorzystania sztucznej inteligencji w dydaktyce algebry liniowej na poziomie akademickim. Rozróżniono potrzeby studentów matematyki (abstrakcja, dowód) i studentów kierunków inżynierskich (modelowanie, obliczenia). Omówiono ryzyka (halucynacje, plagiat, bierność) oraz sposoby oceny pracy studentów. Zaproponowano praktyczne scenariusze wdrożenia AI, które redefiniują rolę obliczeń ręcznych i pozwalają traktować AI jako narzędzie wspierające rozwój głębszego rozumienia matematyki.

The knowledge of the metocean data is important for the design and construction of different equipment in offshore area. The paper presents an analysis of environmental factors in different conditions in the location of study, GALATA platform, Bulgaria. The results of the analysis (wind statistics, wind distribution rose, wind speed extreme, monthly mean vertical profile of wind speed) cover the period 2008-2023. To analyse correct design of floating wind turbines must establish wind speed extreme. The data sets obtained were validated using the CFS3D wind database. To study the risks in vicinity of platforms we used tools of NEAT+ software which provides the opportunity to make informed decisions and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures to protect the environment. The results of the experimental research indicate a favourable general state of the environment in the Black Sea vicinity of platforms area.

The radicalisation of young people leading to extremism is considered a serious security challenge in Europe. As the case of the foiled attack at the Taylor Swift concert in Vienna shows, this phenomenon can occur anywhere. In response to this challenge, Western European countries have developed a number of prevention projects targeting young people. This article presents and analyses the main educational initiatives implemented in France and Spain designed to reduce the risk of children and young people being radicalised and influenced by extremist ideologies. The data necessary for the preparation of this text were collected during study visits to France (Paris) and Spain (Madrid, Salamanca, Barcelona, and Malaga), which took place between 2020 and 2023. During the visits, we carried out numerous queries and in-depth interviews with French and Spanish experts dealing with the issues analysed. The article points out the importance of cooperation among state security institutions, the educational sector, and families at risk of radicalisation as well as the need for the coordination of various preventive measures. Due to the differences in the political systems of France and Spain, the former adopted a strategy of developing and implementing deradicalisation and prevention activities at the central level, while in Spain, preference was given to the regional and local levels for the execution of such projects.

This scientific article presents a multi-aspect assessment of the implementation of energy modernization in a grain dryer (i.e. installation of a cross-flow heat exchanger, installation of a catalytic bed, use of a biomass burner for thermal conversion of grain impurities separated in the grain cleaning process) using an innovative evaluation tool based on the social profit index SROI. The first part of the work is a literature review, which characterizes the concept of energy consumption, discusses energy-saving strategies of EU countries and Poland, presents the grain drying process, the division of drying facilities, as well as examples of energy-saving modernizations implemented in them. The next chapter describes the methodology of energy, economic, environmental and social analyses. The results section presents the effects of the changes implemented in the drying facility. The last chapter is a summary of the performed analyzes.

Artykuł przedstawia wieloaspektową ocenę wdrożenia modernizacji energetycznych W suszarni ziarna zbóż (tj. montażu krzyżowego wymiennika ciepła, instalacji złoża katalitycznego, zastosowaniu palnika biomasowego W celu konwersji termicznej zanieczyszczeń zbożowych odseparowanych w procesie czyszczenia ziarna) przy użyciu nowatorskiego narzędzia ewaluacji bazującego na wskaźniku zysku społecznego SROI. Pierwsza część pracy stanowi przegląd literatury w ramach którego scharakteryzowano pojęcie energochłonności, omówiono strategie na rzecz energooszczędności krajów UE oraz Polski, przedstawiono proces suszenia ziarna zbóż, podział obiektów suszamiczych, a także przykładowe wdrożone w nich modernizacje energooszczędne. W kolejnym rozdziale opisano metodykę prowadzonych analiz energetycznych, ekonomicznych, środowiskowych i społecznych. W sekcji rezultatów zaprezentowano efekty wdrożonych w obiekcie suszarniczym zmian. Ostatni rozdział stanowi podsumowanie przeprowadzonych analiz.

Majority of non-destructive testing (NDT) methodologies necessitate access to only one side of the structure. Due to factors such as wave absorption or reflection by the test object, it is necessary to position the transmitter and receiver on different sides of the test surface. This particular investigative modality is designated as tomography. The article reviews the literature on the use of tomography for the inspection of concrete structures, and presents the results of research conducted on the use of GPR in tomographic mode on a bridge support. It is concluded that GPR in tomographic mode is well suited for mapping larger areas with varying concrete quality. Conversely, radiography is particularly well suited to point measurements and is not limited by the influence of dense reinforcement mesh. It has been determined that when employing a suitable radiation source, the risk to human health when utilising this method is negligible. The article examines X-ray tomography and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) techniques, both employing tomographic imaging and requiring access to at least two sides of the structure. It aims to compare the two methods in terms of accuracy and data acquisition, based on the author’s experimental results and evidence from international literature.

Większość metod badań nieniszczących (NDT) wymaga dostępu tylko do jednej strony konstrukcji. Ze względu na takie czynniki, jak pochłanianie lub odbicie fal przez badany obiekt, konieczne jest umieszczenie nadajnika i odbiornika po różnych stronach badanej powierzchni. Ta szczególna metoda badawcza jest określana jako tomografia. W artykule dokonano przeglądu literatury dotyczącej wykorzystania tomografii do kontroli konstrukcji betonowych oraz przedstawiono wyniki badań przeprowadzonych nad wykorzystaniem GPR w trybie tomograficznym na podporze mostu. Stwierdzono, że GPR w trybie tomograficznym dobrze nadaje się do mapowania większych obszarów o zróżnicowanej jakości betonu. Natomiast radiografia nadaje się szczególnie dobrze do pomiarów punktowych i nie jest ograniczona wpływem gęstej siatki zbrojeniowej. Ustalono, że przy zastosowaniu odpowiedniego źródła promieniowania ryzyko dla zdrowia ludzkiego związane z wykorzystaniem tej metody jest znikome. W artykule przedstawiono także techniki tomografii rentgenowskiej i georadaru (GPR), które wykorzystują obrazowanie tomograficzne i wymagają dostępu do co najmniej dwóch stron konstrukcji. Celem pracy jest porównanie tych dwóch metod pod względem dokładności i pozyskiwania danych w oparciu o wyniki eksperymentów autora i dowody z międzynarodowej literatury.

Wooden ecclesiastical architecture, although often overshadowed by Europe’s dominant traditions of stone and brick construction, constitutes a vital and distinctive aspect of the cultural heritage across the Carpathian region. This is especially true for western Romania’s Banat area, where local communities historically relied on abundant timber resources and developed sophisticated carpentry techniques adapted to their religious and environmental needs. This study focuses on the wooden church of Topla, originally constructed in 1746 in the village of Remetea Luncă (Timiș County), the church embodies centuries-old craftsmanship and vernacular architectural principles characteristic of the Banat region. Its subsequent relocations—first in 1807 to Topla village, and finally in 1987 to the open-air Banat Village Museum in Timișoara—reflect changing sociocultural circumstances and evolving priorities in heritage preservation. Despite its modest size, the church exemplifies sophisticated regional carpentry techniques and vernacular architectural traditions. Prior to its near-total destruction by fire in March 2025, a series of detailed pre-fire surveys— including measured drawings, photogrammetry, and trace analysis—were conducted, followed by post-fire documentation to assess damage and recover architectural data. The research reveals insights into the church’s construction methods, historical modifications, and design logic, highlighting an asymmetrical floor plan resulting from 20th-century expansions and adaptations. Analysis of dimensional data suggests that the church’s design does not conform to clear geometric or traditional measurement systems commonly found in the region, though sectional proportions demonstrate a coherent proportional logic based on façade width. This mixed-methods investigation integrates archival review and comparative study, contributing new empirical evidence toward understanding wooden church construction in Banat. The findings provide a critical foundation for future reconstruction and conservation efforts, while emphasizing the importance of preserving lesser-studied wooden ecclesiastical heritage beyond the internationally renowned Maramureș and Moldavian churches. This study aims to enrich the broader discourse on vernacular wooden architecture in Eastern Europe and to inform sustainable heritage management strategies.

Metody zarządzania ryzykiem ewoluują od metod pasywnych do metod aktywnych. Odbywa się to poprzez stosowanie redukcji, retencji lub unikania ryzyka. Głównym celem pracy jest analiza wybranych aspektów ryzyka związanego z funkcjonowaniem systemów zaopatrzenia w wodę. Przedstawiono przykłady wartościowania ryzyka. Odniesiono się do zagrożeń endogenicznych i egzogenicznych. Bezpieczeństwo należy do priorytetowych obszarów wiedzy. Szczególnie dotyczy to infrastruktury krytycznej funkcjonowania aglomeracji miejskich, do której zaliczają się systemy zaopatrzenia w wodę.

Risk management methods are evolving from passive approaches to active ones. This occurs through the application of risk reduction, retention, or avoidance strategies. The main aim of this paper is to analyze selected aspects of risk related to the functioning of water supply systems. Examples of risk assessment and evaluation are presented. Both endogenous and exogenous threats are addressed. Safety is considered one of the key areas of knowledge, particularly in relation to the critical infrastructure of urban agglomerations, which includes water supply systems.

The effects of global change on development and the sustainability of the economy are visible in implementing innovations. Appropriate selection of experts, considering various knowledge areas, should use selected tools. The article introduces a research tool for selecting experts for innovation risk assessment. In particular, it aims to present individual measurement scales and their reliability assessment (Cronbach’s alpha). The article presents the factor structure of a potential expert’s competencies measured using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed for the appropriate selection of specialists from various industries, including production, mechanics, and management. The questionnaire constitutes a tool applicable for assessing and selecting people involved in the implementation and risk assessment of innovations. It is based on the following four scales (factors): open mind, closed mind, cognitive motivation, and response to uncertainty. The questionnaire’s effectiveness was studied using two research samples, n= 224 and n= 349, comprised of entrepreneurs and individuals professionally related to business and development and implementation of innovations. The interviewees were selected randomly. Factor analysis was used to reduce the test items in the questionnaire. The internal reliability of items was analysed using Cronbach’s alpha. The proposed questionnaire forms a new tool that can be used in selecting experts who deal with the risk assessment of innovations and in the broadly understood process of recruiting staff with appropriate competencies in terms of mindset characteristics. The article presents an analysis related to the conduct of typical research in Management and Quality Sciences, as well as practical principles guiding the use of the questionnaire, which may have wider application in the practice of risk management. The article presents the measurement tool with the answer key, which is a valuable guide for interpreting the results. The questionnaire facilitates the selection of individuals focused on independent and courageous problem-solving and the statement of evaluations. At the same time, an adequate level of caution should be respected, characterising people with risk aversion. Furthermore, creativity and openness are coupled with a considerable ability to develop new solutions and rationally respond to difficult and unpredictable situations.

Previous studies have revealed that antifragility can be perceived as an organisational capability that successfully equips organisations to undergo transformation and self-reinvention when confronted with uncertainties. Hence, this study aims to reveal the core enabling factors contributing to its development. It undertakes a systematic literature review that addresses the following questions: How can we conceptualise organisational antifragility? What are the critical structural enabling factors affecting an organisation’s antifragile capability? As a result, this study delineates three pivotal domains to unveil the enabling factors affecting organisational antifragility. First, a working definition of antifragility is designed and proposed. Second, an analysis of the structural dimensions affecting the development of antifragility is outlined. Finally, the DENSER Organisational Antifragility Assessment Matrix framework for modelling the fundamental structural elements of organisational antifragility is proposed. The proposed matrix intends to present initiatives to assess how the components within the structure interact. Hence, establishing an indicator system to measure each component is foreseen as a limitation of this study and a critical future direction.

Wcześniejsze badania wykazały, że antykruchość można postrzegać jako zdolność organizacyjną, która skutecznie umożliwia organizacjom przechodzenie transformacji i samoodnawianie się w obliczu niepewności. Celem niniejszego badania jest zatem ujawnienie kluczowych czynników umożliwiających rozwój tej zdolności. Przeprowadzono systematyczny przegląd literatury, który odpowiada na następujące pytania: Jak można konceptualizować antykruchość organizacyjną? Jakie są krytyczne strukturalne czynniki umożliwiające rozwój zdolności antykruchości organizacji? W rezultacie badanie to wyróżnia trzy kluczowe obszary umożliwiające identyfikację czynników wpływających na antykruchość organizacyjną. Po pierwsze, zaprojektowano i zaproponowano roboczą definicję antykruchości. Po drugie, przedstawiono analizę wymiarów strukturalnych wpływających na rozwój antykruchości. Po trzecie, zaproponowano ramy DENSER Organisational Antifragility Assessment Matrix (Matryca Oceny Antykruchości Organizacyjnej DENSER) do modelowania fundamentalnych elementów strukturalnych antykruchości organizacyjnej. Proponowana matryca ma na celu przedstawienie inicjatyw do oceny, w jaki sposób poszczególne elementy w strukturze oddziałują między sobą. Ustanowienie systemu wskaźników do pomiaru każdego komponentu jest postrzegane jako ograniczenie tego badania oraz istotny kierunek przyszłych badań.

In the conditions of the transition to higher technological systems in the conditions of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, the companies of the world face the question of effective management of green innovative development in their economic activities. The goal of the research is the formation of effective organ-izational and economic support for green innovations of companies of countries with different levels of techno-logical development of production. This research contains: to describe the known positions of scientific schools regarding the managerial aspects of green innovations of companies of the world; to form the economic support of this administration, by developing an assessment of the potential of green innovations of companies of the world (the data of the Global Innovation Index Report were taken as a source of empirical data), to form criterion values of the potential of green innovations of companies of the countries for the purpose of their clustering. The research methods used include: system method; bibliometric analysis; method of assessing competitiveness; cri-terion method; method of generalization. The objects of evaluation include companies from five countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The main results of the study include: development of management theory; forming an assessment of the green innovation potential of companies from countries of the world with different levels of technological development of production (the data of the Global Innovation Index Report were taken as a source of empirical data); formation of criterion support for the results of evaluation of the green innovation potential of the countries' companies. The conclusions of the study should include establishing the actualization of managing green innovations by companies of the world by involving the results of the assessment of the green innovation potential of companies of the world to the formation of the criterion values of this assessment in order to make effective management decisions on the part of all interested stakeholders. For further scientific research, to focus on the formation of effective communication links between different groups of stakeholders, the basis of this scientific direction is the criteria developed by the authors to ensure the level of green innovation potential of companies of countries in order to make effective decisions on the part of stakeholders (state bodies, investors, manufacturers, suppliers, clients, financial institutions) regarding organizational, social, economic support of green innovations of companies of countries with different levels of technological development of production. This study can be useful for the governments of countries in the development of international and national pro-grams for the innovative development of the economy in terms of the implementation of the Sustainable Devel-opment Goals; to company managers when forming strategic and tactical plans for green innovative business development; to students and scientists in the implementation of scientific and educational programs.

Zaproponowano podział metod badawczych przewodów kanalizacyjnych na cztery grupy w oparciu o najnowszą wiedzę, dotyczącą istniejących urządzeń diagnostycznych. Są one zróżnicowane zakresem uzyskiwanej oceny stanu technicznego przewodów i równocześnie kosztami oraz czasookresem wykonywanych badań. Zamieszczono informacje, którą metodę należy zastosować, oczekując uzyskania mniej lub bardziej dokładnej wiedzy o stanie technicznym przewodów kanalizacyjnych.

Based on the latest knowledge on existing diagnostic devices for testing the technical condition of sewers, a division of research methods into four groups was proposed. They are differentiated by the scope of the assessment of their technical condition and, at the same time, by the costs and time period of the tests performed. Information was provided on which method should be used in order to obtain more or less precise knowledge about the technical condition of sewage pipes.

Celem niniejszego artykułu była ocena możliwości poprawienia jakości wód powierzchniowych w Polsce. Właściwa ocena jakości wód powierzchniowych oparta jest o monitorowanie różnych komponentów, włączając biologicznie i fizyko-chemiczne. Przedstawiono historię krajowego monitoringu wód powierzchniowych oraz proces oceny jakości oceny wód powierzchniowych. Analiza wyników ostatniego monitoringu wykazała zły stan jakości wód powierzchniowych. Zaprezentowano wstępną analizę możliwości poprawy tego stanu.

The aim of this article was to assess of improving surface water quality in Poland. A proper assessment of surface waters quality is based on appropriate monitoring of various components, including physico-chemical and biological. A history of national surface waters monitoring and the surface water quality assessment process were provided. Data analysis from the last monitoring has shown a bad state of surface waters quality. Preliminary water pollution control measures were provided.

The aim of the article was to evaluate the extent to which green competencies are featured in recruitment and personnel selection processes as criteria for assessing and verifying candidates' suitability for job opportunities. The method applied in the study was existing data analysis, which involved a literature review and an analysis of job advertisements on the job portals pracuj.pl and doinggood.pl (N=3617). To complement the analysis with qualitative data, individual unstructured interviews with the management and staff of recruitment firms (N=55) were conducted. As a result, an original catalogue of green competencies sought by employers in various industries was developed. The study further revealed that green competencies, although emerging in the economy as it progresses towards "greening", are not yet commonly recognised. While they are well described in the literature, business practitioners often understand them in terms of generalised statements indicating skills in reducing negative environmental impact. Consequently, they are not always treated as an objective factor in assessing a job candidate’s suitability for a position at the company.

Celem artykułu jest ocena stopnia uwzględnienia zielonych kompetencji w procesach rekrutacji i selekcji personelu jako kryteriów oceny i weryfikacji przydatności kandydatów do ofert pracy. W opracowaniu zastosowano metodę analizy danych zastanych. W jej ramach zastosowano analizę literatury przedmiotu, a także analizę ogłoszeń rekrutacyjnych portali z ogłoszeniami o pracę: www.pracuj.pl oraz www.doinggood.pl. Analizie poddano łącznie 3617 oferty. Analizy te uzupełniono badaniami jakościowymi w postaci indywidualnych wywiadów swobodnych z przedstawicielami kadry menedżerskiej oraz pracownikami firm rekrutujących (N=55). Przeprowadzone badania pozwoliły na stworzenie autorskiego katalogu zielonych kompetencji poszukiwanych przez pracodawców różnych branż. Ujawniły również, że zielone kompetencje, choć pojawiają się w gospodarce wraz z postępującym jej „zazielenianiem”, nie są jeszcze powszechnie rozpoznawalne. Choć są bogato opisane w literaturze przedmiotu, ich rozumienie przez praktyków biznesu często polega na uogólnionych konstatacjach, wskazujących na umiejętności ograniczania negatywnego wpływu na środowisko. W efekcie nie zawsze są traktowane jako obiektywny czynnik weryfikacji przydatności w danej firmie kandydatów aplikujących o zatrudnienie.

The operation of modern power systems requires a sophisticated technological infrastructure to effectively manage and evaluate their parameters and performance. This infrastructure includes the generation, transmission and distribution power system components. This paper provides an overview of the loss evaluation to a part of Kosovo’s power system, substation with wind and photovoltaic (PV) energy sources integrated (SS Mramori, SS Kitka, and SS Kamenica) and the analysis of the loss assessment methods. One the assessment method in the research encompass simulated loss scenarios and their corresponding values in network components, employing the simulation based on the respective software tools. In current trends, power systems are visualized through the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platform. However, in Kosovo, although losses are integral to the SCADA system, they are represented as a overall value in the online mode, not encompassed depict losses per-components in real-time. This limitation hinders effective online power system optimization regarding the losses. As consequence, the purpose of this study is proposal a logical method developed through neural networks. The methodology incorporates various parameters, including as inputs variables; voltages, currents, active and reactive powers, and their computed values for extracting losses (X(x1, x2, ..., xn)). These parameters undergo systematic processing through hidden layers (Y(x1, x2, ..., xn)), leading to the classification of components within the power system. Finally, at the output stage (A(x1, x2, ..., xn)), an assessment is conducted based on the level of losses observed in the components of the power system. This implementation method promises significant benefits for transmission systems, impacting not only reducing losses, power quality but also yielding economic advantages.

W artykule przedstawiono aktualny stan wiedzy w zakresie oceny oddziaływania środowiskowego wyrobów budowlanych. Analizę wykonano w celu zbadania możliwości rzetelnej oceny i weryfikacji oddziaływania wyrobów budowlanych na środowisko przez producenta w związku z planowanym wprowadzeniem w UE obowiązkowej oceny środowiskowej. Wyniki systematycznego przeglądu literatury dla słów kluczowych niniejszego artykułu wskazały wiele różnych problemów i niedoskonałości w dotychczas funkcjonującym modelu oceny wykorzystującym analizę cyklu życia wyrobu, wśród których najważniejszą jest nieporównywalność uzyskiwanych wyników będącą kluczową kwestią związaną z wiarygodnością producenta. Analiza przeglądu literatury wskazała, że wdrożenie w krajach UE nowego, obowiązkowego modelu oceny oddziaływania wyrobów budowlanych na środowisko będzie wyzwaniem dla wszystkich uczestników rynku. Wydaje się też oczywistym, że racjonalna realizacja oceny środowiskowej wyrobów budowlanych będzie trudna oraz wymagać będzie znacznie więcej pracy i czasu niż planuje to Komisja Europejska. Porównanie wyników niniejszego przeglądu literatury z założeniami nowego unijnego modelu oceny środowiskowej wyrobów budowlanych wskazuje także na brak transferu wiedzy z nauki do administracji publicznej, co negatywnie wpływa na racjonalność samego procesu decyzyjnego. W świetle uzyskanych wyników przeglądu literatury można stwierdzić, że jedynym rozsądnym rozwiązaniem wydaje się być tworzenie sektorowych deklaracji środowiskowych. Przyjęcie takiego rozwiązania pozwoli producentom wyrobów budowlanych zracjonalizować wydatki związane z ich opracowywaniem oraz uniknąć chaosu, jaki może powstać w sytuacji gdy szczegółowe dane dotyczące oddziaływania środowiskowego materiału są nieporównywalne.

The article presents the current state of knowledge in assessing the environmental impact of construction products. The analysis was carried out to examine the possibility of reliable assessment and verification of the environmental impact of construction products by the manufacturer in connection with the planned introduction of mandatory environmental assessment in the EU. The results of a systematic literature review for the keywords of this article indicated many different problems and imperfections in the existing assessment model using product life cycle analysis, among which the most important is the incomparability of the results obtained, which is a crucial issue related to the manufacturer’s credibility. The literature review indicated that implementing a new, mandatory model for assessing the environmental impact of construction products in EU countries will be a challenge for all market participants. The rational implementation of the environmental assessment of construction products will be complex and require much more work and time than was planned by the European Commission. A comparison of the results of this literature review with the assumptions of the new EU model of environmental assessment of construction products also indicates the lack of knowledge transfer from science to public administration, negatively affecting the rationality of the decision-making process. In light of the literature review results, the only reasonable solution is to create sectoral environmental declarations. Adopting such a solution will allow manufacturers of construction products to rationalize the expenses related to their development and avoid the chaos that may arise when environmental impact data are incomparable.

With the agricultural industry being vital for regional food safety, the extreme conditions under which it operated in Ukraine during the first half of 2022 has offered a unique insight on vulnerabilities of supply chains as well as the necessity of ensuring transport and logistics support for grain supply chain using adaptive methods. During that time frame, existing infrastructure, logistics, and involved materials were at risk of being stolen or by being destroyed due to direct combat damage or resulting fires. Established food transportation routes suffered from blockades, destruction, or congestion. Switching modes of transport for crop grains proved difficult with the absence of required transport and logistics support. The switch to vegetable oil transport proved harder still. Meanwhile, the re-established naval transportation shed a spotlight on GIS instruments that became critical for the safety of regional food supply chain. This inspired the idea of implementing methods of assessing the safety of transport facilities with the direct participation of the user based on geographic information. These methods can be key in enabling new export routes as part of a stable grain supply chain, supporting logistics behind constructing pipelines for transportation of vegetable oils. As the food safety of the world depends on new export routes, ensuring their efficiency and security will always remain relevant.

The constant growth of energy demand, as well as the accompanying increase in environmental pollution resulting from the prevailing use of fossil fuels, has led to a rising use of energy from renewable sources. The use of wind turbines to generate electricity has many obvious advantages, such as lack of fuel costs during operation and lack of harmful pollutants, including carbon dioxide. Despite advantages, the use of wind turbines constantly raises questions concerning the impact of wind farms on humans. This impact includes many factors related to the operation of wind farms, and in particular noise emitted by these farms. The wind turbine noise impact on humans has been studied by the Central Institute for Labour Protection - National Research Institute. A test bench to conduct noise annoyance tests of different types of wind turbine noise in laboratory conditions have been developed. During exposures to 6 different virtual acoustic environments, representing different wind turbine noise, 40 participants assessed wind turbine noise annoyance. The paper describes the results of the studies concerning the assessment of wind turbine noise annoyance.

Marine transportation is a critical component of global trade and commerce, with ports serving as key nodes for the movement of goods and people. However, navigating these ports can be hazardous, with the potential for accidents and incidents that can lead to loss of life, environmental damage, and economic disruption. This study investigates the impact of socioeconomic factors on the operational risk assessments and adoption of innovative navigational aids for better safety among marine pilots in Lagos ports. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining surveys and interviews to collect data from a sample of marine pilots operating in Lagos ports. The study focuses on the decision-making process of marine pilots in high-risk environments, exploring how factors such as education level, income, and experience might influence their risk assessments and willingness to adopt new technologies. The study's findings have important implications for policies and programs aimed at promoting safer navigation practices in Lagos ports and improving the overall safety of marine operations. The results can also inform the design of training and education programs for marine pilots, as well as the development of new technologies and tools to support safe navigation.
