The effects of global change on development and the sustainability of the economy are visible in implementing innovations. Appropriate selection of experts, considering various knowledge areas, should use selected tools. The article introduces a research tool for selecting experts for innovation risk assessment. In particular, it aims to present individual measurement scales and their reliability assessment (Cronbach’s alpha). The article presents the factor structure of a potential expert’s competencies measured using a questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed for the appropriate selection of specialists from various industries, including production, mechanics, and management. The questionnaire constitutes a tool applicable for assessing and selecting people involved in the implementation and risk assessment of innovations. It is based on the following four scales (factors): open mind, closed mind, cognitive motivation, and response to uncertainty. The questionnaire’s effectiveness was studied using two research samples, n= 224 and n= 349, comprised of entrepreneurs and individuals professionally related to business and development and implementation of innovations. The interviewees were selected randomly. Factor analysis was used to reduce the test items in the questionnaire. The internal reliability of items was analysed using Cronbach’s alpha. The proposed questionnaire forms a new tool that can be used in selecting experts who deal with the risk assessment of innovations and in the broadly understood process of recruiting staff with appropriate competencies in terms of mindset characteristics. The article presents an analysis related to the conduct of typical research in Management and Quality Sciences, as well as practical principles guiding the use of the questionnaire, which may have wider application in the practice of risk management. The article presents the measurement tool with the answer key, which is a valuable guide for interpreting the results. The questionnaire facilitates the selection of individuals focused on independent and courageous problem-solving and the statement of evaluations. At the same time, an adequate level of caution should be respected, characterising people with risk aversion. Furthermore, creativity and openness are coupled with a considerable ability to develop new solutions and rationally respond to difficult and unpredictable situations.

Purpose: In recent years there has been a fundamental change in the approach to the issue of creativity in management. Therefore, a special role is seen in factors of the downstream environment as important determinants of organizational development. The main research problem, which is also the subject of the study, was to find out the relationship between the creative life orientations of the respondents and their relationship with the factors of the further environment determining the development of the organization. And the main goal of the research was: using scientific procedures and appropriate methodology, to learn about the external factors of the environment of creativity development determining the activities of the organization. Design/methodology/approach: The article reviews research on the impact of cognitive, theoretical and methodological issues, as well as empirical issues using Cudowska's (2014) survey questionnaire for determining respondents' life orientations and selected factors of the further environment. Findings: The results of this study illustrate the role of the determinants of the downstream environment and its impact on the development of creativity in organizations. Research limitations/implications: Despite the author's efforts to produce the article at the highest possible quality level, a few basic limitations should be mentioned. First, there is a geographical limitation. The article uses empirical data from a survey conducted in the West Pomeranian region and focused on people (working students) representing creative life orientations. The second limitation concerns the survey method. A third limitation is the one¬time nature of the study conducted. Originality/value: As a result of the literature and empirical research, the boundaries of existing knowledge on the impact of downstream environment factors on the development of organizations, including creativity, the importance of creativity as a resource was pointed out, especially when this factor is the main source of value creation, the factors stimulating and limiting the downstream environment for the development of creativity in the organization were identified, and areas of support were identified that should be of interest to managers at the national level, or locally.

The influence of global lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted the lives of many people. Once performed elsewhere, many activities had to be moved to private spaces of individual homes, influencing how people use their residential space, modifying their living and working conditions. The purpose of this study was to research the changes in the use of residential space through questionnaires addressed to respondents in five age groups (up to 25, 26–35, 36–50, 51–65, and over 65), and living or studying in the Milan area (Lombardy)—an area affected severely by COVID-19 in the period March–May 2020. The obtained questionnaire results allowed the authors to create a set of guidelines for apartment design, intended to improve their spatial performance. The observations made when creating the case study projects led to two main conclusions: First, at the level of the house plan, the arrangement of the plan should be free and adaptable, al-lowing for fast alteration by the user. Second, the project should be tailor-made, highly specialized, and purposefully designed at the level of home office design, including appropriate furnishings, technical appliances, and lighting systems.

This paper aims to establish the current state of knowledge on collective creativity in management science based on a systematic literature review. A systematic review was performed based on the three-step SPL procedure proposed by Tranfield et al. (2003). Two databases (Scopus and Web of Science) were searched electronically until March 2022. Literature analysis and content analysis were performed based on the secondary data. Eighteen studies met the inclusion criteria following the systematic literature review procedure. The conducted descriptive and thematic analysis allowed establishing the state of knowledge in the analysed area and identifying the main thematic areas along with the future research directions. The research was the first to conduct a systematic literature review (SLR) on collective creativity in management science. The main contribution of this paper is its exclusive focus on analysing existing research in the collective creativity field, limited to management science. SLR allowed determining that research in the analysed area was still at a fairly early stage. Although the existing literature sheds some light on collective creativity, studies investigating the aspects of teamwork focused on problem-solving are required.

The article deals with the problem of supporting thought processes, deepening and developing the imagination and awareness about didactic and design processes. Stimulus, activation, interpretation, imagination, strengthening - phrases found in the sphere of science, activated and modified for the needs of specific activities in the area of education, translate into the desired progress and creative activity. Activation of interpretative autonomy implies unconventional solutions, often opening new levels of action, or connecting previously distant ones, thus positively influencing the increase in the level of creativity. Going beyond the standards of the program framework, in the context of the freedom to conduct research, broadens the spectrum of design solutions, original statements, as well as an individual approach to the problem. A kind of connective - we learn, wherever we are, doing anything and at any time - modified for the needs of a given field or area of research, is part of the puzzle, which translates into the nature of the external environment and the quality of existence. The interdisciplinary nature of the activities carried out, enriched with experience, manifests itself in a manifesto of independent thinking and creative statements, being at the same time a source of educational experiences and a factor optimizing didactic and design processes.

Purpose: The article aims to define the role that creativity plays in implementing frugal innovations. The article also aims to list examples of innovative, frugal solutions as well as to indicate activities that would stimulate the creativity of employees in enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: This is an exploratory study that is based on a systematic review of available literature on frugal innovation and creativity. The research was based on both Polish and foreign literature, articles, and internet sources. Findings: The issue of frugal innovations has recently become "fashionable" in the good sense of the word. Inventive and cheap offers of products and technologies launched on markets are characterised by demonstrable dynamics. The article emphasises, in particular, the role of creativity in creating innovative, frugal solutions. Research limitations/implications: Although the problem of frugal innovations is known and described, it is also true that publications focussing on and discussing this issue are still lacking. The article, therefore, aims to encourage decision-makers to support the creativity of their employees in order to develop frugal innovations. Nevertheless, the discussed topic requires further research. Originality/value: The article is based on existing knowledge in the field of creativity and frugal innovations. The added value of the article is a combination of both issues, emphasising the role of employees' creativity in creating frugal innovations, which is illustrated in the form of the proposed model of the innovative process based on creativity.

Pandemia Covid-19 zmusiła do przejścia w tryb pracy zdalnej rzesze pracowników. Badania doprowadziły do realizacji modelowego mieszkania.
