Język szybko ewoluował (i nieustannie podlega takiej ewolucji) w narodowe, branżowe i specjalne dialekty.

The main goal of the research is effective BMS parameterization based on automatic evaluation systems, both manual and data-based decisions generated by a central automation system. Building management systems, accelerating historical data, may be used as crucial tools to achieve high energy efficiency in a building of high heterogeneity with low cost. The study aims to test innovative mechanisms for automatic group changes in temperature parameters and control of air conditioning and ventilation systems without the involvement of large human resources. This is possible thanks to the use of HMI operator panels and freely programmable controllers, whose control can be changed by modifying comfort parameters (lowering the set temperature in the room, increasing the inertia of the system – hysteresis setting, distinguishing between seasons and weather-based control, reducing the operation of HVAC systems according to a schedule based on building occupancy). Centralized control allows application of parameters with a single click, ensuring stability and speed of the applied settings. The tested public utility building with a heterogeneous purpose consists of many groups of rooms: approximately 700 office rooms, server rooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms including a director’s room, archives, underground parking, VIP rooms, restaurants, technical rooms (heat nodes, gray water tanks, internal patio, monitored elevators, kitchens – two on each floor). Due to their geographical location and the system of opening and closing window frames with reed switches, office rooms are the most complex in terms of thermal comfort control. This is an effect of diverse user needs and different heating and cooling requirements resulting from additional solar heat gain in some offices. Research on such a diverse building ensures that the solutions developed can be applied to other buildings. This article will examine the possibility of zero-cost BMS parameterization using the example of a building with high functionality and safety requirements. The aim is to demonstrate that the parameterization of the building management system, based on historical data and analysis of a 13-storey building (even after 11 years of use, it shows certain design limitations), increases the comfort and energy efficiency of the building and it is the first step to connect buildings in smart cities. Increasing the level of building smartness by integrating all installations creates the highest potential to reduce the carbon footprint over the entire life cycle of a building in cities. Prediction of energy consumption, for each building based on historical data accumulated by BMS, is the first step to conduct cloud-based building integration into an energy cooperative of buildings, within the framework of a smart city.

Digital twin technology is revolutionizing the architectural and construction industries by offering a live, data-driven digital replica of physical buildings. Unlike static 3D models, digital twins evolve with time, integrating real-world data captured from sensors, IoT devices, and user inputs. This enables stakeholders to monitor, analyse, and optimize building performance in real-time. The power of digital twins lies in their ability to bridge the physical and digital worlds, allowing architects, engineers, and facility managers to simulate scenarios, track changes, and predict future behaviour of structures based on historical and real-time data. In architectural design and facility management, digital twins extend the capabilities of Building Information Modelling (BIM) by incorporating live feedback loops, allowing professionals to go beyond documentation and into predictive modelling. When paired with platforms like Revit and AutoCAD, and enhanced with technologies such as point cloud scanning, digital twins become powerful tools for renovation, retrofitting, and complex site analysis. This technology is particularly valuable in smart building development and urban planning, offering real-time visibility into energy use, occupancy, system performance, and lifecycle optimization. As this innovation matures, it is setting a new paradigm for how buildings are designed, constructed, operated, and maintained across their full lifecycle.

W poniższym artykule przedstawiono projekt aplikacji mobilnej na urządzenie z systemem operacyjnym Android, służącej do zarządzania budynkiem inteligentnym. Aplikacja napisana przy pomocy języka programistycznego Java, pozwala użytkownikowi na zarządzanie funkcjami zaimplementowanymi wewnątrz takiego budynku. Do sterowania tymi funkcjami wykorzystano mikrokontroler ESP32, do którego dołączono zaprojektowane moduły wykonawcze, umożliwiające użytkownikowi końcowemu sterowanie komponentami struktury wewnętrznej budynku. W procesie sterowania modułami oświetlenia oraz bramy wjazdowej wykorzystany został protokół HTTP (ang. Hypertext Transfer Protocol) wraz z metodą POST, służącą do wysyłania odpowiednich obiektów do określonego zasobu w celu zmiany docelowego stanu diody czy też bramy wjazdowej.

The following article presents the design of a mobile application for an Android device to manage a smart building. The application, written using the Java programming language, allows the user to manage the functions implemented inside such a building. To control these functions, an ESP32 microcontroller was used, to which the designed executive modules were attached, allowing the end user to control the components of the building’s internal structure. In the process of controlling the lighting and gateway modules, the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) was used along with the POST method for sending appropriate objects to a specific resource to change the target state of the LED or gateway. Temperature and humidity readings are implemented using the Google Firebase real-time database. The implementation of a simple database structure allows the user to conveniently and quickly monitor the current environmental conditions in his apartment. The Firebase database also allows users to create private accounts, so that user access to the data is authorized, which increases the security of operation. Functional tests confirmed the correctness of the operation of individual components and implemented functionalities. While using the application, no negative impact of the application on the mobile device was noticed, which could manifest itself in excessive battery consumption, excessive consumption of internal resources or excessive heating of the device.

Modeling the quality of the indoor environment in buildings using neural networks, as an element supporting automatic process control, has become extremely popular nowadays. By analogy, attempts are being made to use the experience gained in construction and implement it in industry. The publication proposes a method of modeling feedforward neural networks, thanks to which it is possible to obtain the most efficient network with one hidden layer in terms of the given quality criterion. This network was implemented in the control system of the mining separator operation as part of pilot studies. The research included testing a laboratory model of the separator placed in a sea container modified for the separator function, in which modern automation technologies and monitoring of environmental parameters were integrated. Among others, time, outside temperature, set temperature, temperature error and controller output were measured. The measurements were taken at the points of installation of devices sensitive to the working environment - controllers, I/O modules, X-ray (XRT-DE) and optical analysis (VIS-NIR), enabling precise examination of the composition and quality of mineral resources. The internal environmental conditions in the housings of the above-mentioned sensitive elements and in the server room were the basis for the analysis. The aim was to develop a performance model enabling effective improvement of the working environment of all electrical and mechanical devices affecting energy efficiency and the internal environment. Separators operate in a very diverse environment, such as: tropical forests, Canadian Tundra, or desert areas in Africa, as well as EU countries, the USA and Australia. These devices are used in both open pit and underground mines. The use of modern technologies and mobile solutions in the mining industry contributes to increased efficiency, operational safety and, consequently, minimizing the negative impact on the environment. The research results confirmed that precise monitoring and control to ensure environmental conditions at selected separator points is crucial to ensuring the continuity and quality of the separation process.

W 2014 r. oddano do użytkowania budynek Małopolskiego Laboratorium Budownictwa Energooszczędnego Politechniki Krakowskiej (MLBE).
