As an important natural and cultural landscape in Europe, the Rhine basin is both an expression of ecological values and an important carrier of cultural memory. However, with increasing urbanisation and globalisation, its local landscapes and ecosystems are under threat. This study focuses on exploring the dual role of local landscapes in spatial memory and sustainable development. Through visual landscape analysis, cultural narrative coding, VR modelling and questionnaire survey, the study found that the visual attractiveness and cultural significance of ecological landscapes can significantly enhance spatial memory, and that VR technology can increase public awareness and participation in conservation through immersive experiences. By employing Carbon Sink Capacity Analysis Model and Water Resource Regulation Model, this study found that the area around the cultural landmarks is particularly strong in terms of carbon sinks, water regulation and other ecological functions. This study provides a new theoretical framework and practical way forward for landscape conservation and ecological education.

Publikacja przedstawia wyniki badań porównawczych prowadzonych nad zastosowaniem hybrydowych metod nauczania w obszarze automatyki z orientacją na programowanie sterowników PLC i szkolenie-trenerów w VR. Takie „mieszane” podejście do edukacji pozwala stworzyć system zarządzania procesami nauczania i dalszej optymalizacji, dzięki tzw. To multi-modalne podejście powstało w oparciu o zapotrzebowanie rynku (pilotaż) i nawiązaną w ramach projektu współpracę laboratoriów badawczych Uniwersytetu Zagłębia Ruhr z Bochum w Niemczech i Łukasiewicz-Instytut Technologii Eksploatacji w Radomiu.

Systemy zarządzania i monitoringu zaimplementowane w infrastrukturze przemysłowej gromadzą i przetwarzają coraz więcej danych, następnie bazując na dedykowanych algorytmach podejmują decyzje, a w konsekwencji wysyłają komendy sterujące do urządzeń i procesów technologicznych. W trakcie prowadzonych badań wykorzystano takie podejście do opracowania rozwiązania umożliwiającego sterowanie robotem z dowolnego miejsca i w dowolnym czasie. Niniejsza praca prezentuje prototyp rozwiązania zapewniającego zdalne sterowanie robotem współpracującym typu kobot.

Industry 4.0 is undergoing continuous evolution. Management and monitoring systems implemented in the industrial infrastructure are able to collect and process more and more data, then, based on dedicated algorithms, make decisions, and consequently send specific control commands to devices and technological processes. At the same time, there is growing interest in combining devices with other seemingly disparate technologies. An example of creating such coexistence is the integration of sensory solutions with virtual reality. Such activities contribute to the creation of digital twins of devices and processes, which in turn enables remote and in many cases automatic control of physical objects and the course of real processes. In the course of this research, such an approach has been used to develop a solution that allows a robot to be controlled from anywhere and at any time. This work presents a prototype of a solution providing remote control of a cobot arm robot.

European projects have always been aimed at development in a broad sense. Circular Economy, the so-called "green mining", sustainable development or modern solutions in the mining industry are the buzzwords that have accompanied the mining industry in Europe for a long time. However, they are not conducive to a good image of this industry, which has a significant impact on the interest in working in this sector among young people, both among high school students, as well as university candidates and students of technical faculties. Therefore, everything should be done to improve this image, which can be done both by taking steps to improve technology at the mining and processing stage, but also by warming up the image of the mining industry at the education stage. This may contribute to a renewed interest in mining-related fields of study among the younger generation. Recently, AGH UST has been implementing two educational projects, financed by European funds under the Erasmus+ program. These are the Standardization and Digitization of Rescue Education in Mining projects (acronym: DigiRescueMe, project number 2021-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000028090, AGH UST as a partner) and Holographic Integration for Geosciences Education and Mining (acronym: HoloGEM, project number 2022-1-PL01- KA220-VET-000089946, AGH UST as a leader). The DigiRescueMe project will create a modern training system for mine rescuers, based on VR solutions and simulations. On the other hand, the overarching goal of the HoloGEM project is to create a modern basic course in the field of mining with the use of modern educational and visualization solutions. The results of both projects will be international and will be implemented not only in Poland, but also in Türkiye, Portugal and Italy.

Są to projekty Standardization and Digitalization of Rescue Education in Mining (akronim: DigiRescueMe, nr projektu 2021-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000028090, AGH jako partner) oraz Holographic Integration for Geosciences Education and Mining (akronim: HoloGEM, nr projektu 2022-1-PL01-KA220-VET-000089946, AGH jako lider).

Military training currently faces major challenges. As part of the education, soldiers should be prepared to carry out tasks with modern equipment. Intensive modernization of the Armed Forces is a very positive action, but it requires immediate training from logisticians, familiarization with the equipment and preparation of appropriate infrastructure. Only a trained logistician with appropriate knowledge in the field of use, maintenance and repair can ensure long-term operation of the newly introduced military equipment undisturbed by failures. This poses challenges for all entities providing military education. Analyzing the forms and methods of education, the author indicates the use of virtual reality as one of the most important directions that can optimize training, shorten its time in the event of war and constitute an interesting and innovative alternative to traditional teaching methods.
