Purpose: The aim of the article is to explore the role of employee trust in building corporate social responsibility in modern enterprises and to understand how trust influences the perception of a company's image. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research method used in the article is a systematic literature review. Findings: The findings respond to the research questions formulated based on the objectives of the study, allowing for the drawing of general conclusions. Research limitations/Implications: A key drawback of this study is the limited availability of relevant literature, along with the fact that much of the research has been conducted primarily in Asia. Future research should consider searching other databases with the same keywords or adding new combinations to the already searched databases to gather more literature and better understand the topic, which is also highlighted later in the methodology section. Practical Implications: The practical implications emphasize the importance of authentic engagement in socially responsible activities and suggest active involvement in long-term CSR initiatives, transparent communication of actions, and the inclusion of employees in decision-making processes related to social responsibility. Originality/Value: The article compiles and summarizes the latest research related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and employee trust. It is based on a systematic literature review covering the period from January 2010 to April 2024. The aim is to demonstrate that employee trust is not only a value in itself but also an invaluable component that enhances all CSR activities. The article is primarily targeted at managers, but it is also relevant for employees and other external stakeholders. It includes practical business guidelines derived from the research findings.

Purpose: This study examined how eco-friendly procurement practices influence the sustainability of projects that promote community development for environmental, social, and economic benefits. Methodology: A systematic literature review integrating several studies on sustainable procurement in community development project contexts. A qualitative methodology was employed to provide a comprehensive perspective on eco-friendly procurement procedures and their beneficial impact on the sustainability of projects for community development. Results: The study revealed a positive influence of eco-procurement practices and sustainability of projects for community development. The findings also indicate a distinct environmental benefit, especially in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and resource efficiency. Sustainable procurement fosters community empowerment and social fairness at the societal level. Organizations gain economically by enhancing their brand image and lowering costs. Nonetheless, obstacles persist, particularly the need for robust policy frameworks and stakeholder involvement. Theoretical Contribution: This study adds to the theoretical understanding of sustainable procurement by combining socioeconomic advantages in community development initiatives with environmental stewardship. It demonstrates the significance of sustainable practices in achieving long-term sustainability objectives. Practical Implications: This research elucidates the need to establish consistent policy frameworks and engage the community in decision-making, enhancing the long-term viability of development projects. In addition to improving an organization's environmental effect, sustainable procuring promotes social and economic equality.

A market economy requires continuous improvement of products. The classic case is striving to meet customer expectations, i.e., ensuring product quality. However, in terms of sustainable development, it is also necessary to take actions that contribute to the protection of the natural environment and ensure a positive social impact. It is still a challenge. Therefore, the aim of the article is to develop a model for product improvement by considering the criteria of quality, environment, and social impact. The developed model is an original decision indicator, according to which prototypes of modified products are ranked according to their fulfillment of (i) expected quality, (ii) low environmental impact in the life cycle (LCA), and (iii) social responsibility. Based on the results of the model and the proposed decision indicator, it is possible to determine the direction of improvement of any product by assessing prototypes (product variants) in terms of their sustainable development. The model test is carried out for photovoltaic (PV) panels, popular in recent years, verified according to six prototypes and 15 sustainability criteria regarding their quality, environmental impact, and social responsibility. The test confirmed its effectiveness in the case of photovoltaic panels, but the proposed model can be successfully used to design or improve other products. This is supported by a developed original decision indicator supporting the making of multicriteria quality, environmental, and social decisions at the stage of designing new products or improving existing products.

In recent decades, the socialization of economic development has become one of the key trends in globalization and, at the same time, a multilevel, structured and institutionalized process. Theoretical approaches to the essential identification of the social economy are generalized and a multi-criteria format of evolution of its models is proposed, based on social justice, responsibility and solidarity, social mentality and culture, social unity and optimism, social security, climate and comfort. The current configuration of the sustainable development paradigm with its subjective determination is outlined. The results of cluster modeling according to global indices of human development, social process, economic freedom, well-being of the elderly, happy planet, happiness and gender gap are presented. Social attention is paid to the empirical comparison of countries in terms of social optimism using global indices of happiness and a happy planet. The results of the empirical analysis are summarized in the disposition of the Anglo-Saxon, Scandinavian, continental, Mediterranean and transitive models of the social economy, which need qualitative renewal in the process of their global scaling.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the role of social innovation in solving significant and complex problems of the Mazovia region by using the results of research conducted at the university and thus supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals by the university. Design/methodology/approach: The paper describes the results of workshops organized for scientists from all over Poland by 2 universities, i.e. the Warsaw University of Technology and the University of Warsaw. The main objective of the workshops was an attempt to identify studies conducted by their participants, the results of which could contribute to solving specific problems of the region. This publication also refers to the results of the Lean Management in Healthcare project aimed at improving the Polish health care system, and thus also at solving a very important social problem. Findings: Although the nature of these 2 projects was different, they had one objective, which was to use research results in solving important social problems. The first project can be considered as an equivalent of a technological-push model, while the second one corresponds to the market-pull model. Research limitations/implications: The article contains preliminary research related to proposing the use of conducted research to solve important social problems. Practical implications: The article can help to establish cooperation between scientists and other institutions in using the conducted research for a new purpose of solving social problems, but also be an inspiration for further search for them by modifying or planning new research. Social implications: The development of the proposed new directions of using the conducted research may contribute to solving important social problems. This should be the role of research conducted in universities to fulfill all their missions. Originality/value: An attempt to combine the social problems of Mazovia with specific research carried out by the participants of the workshops should be considered a novelty. Many participants admitted that thanks to this workshop they were motivated to continue working on a new way of using the results of their research.

The enrichment of the society and the consumptive lifestyle caused that customers buy more and more, having different, often very high requirements as to the purchased products and services. They often do not realize that production of such products requires more and more materials, energy and other means of production. All this leads to high exploitation of the environment. Even if the resources of the natural environment are not exhaustible, they do not keep up with their rebuilding at this pace of exploitation. That is why social awareness and responsibility both of producers and customers play such an important role. They are one of the instruments needed to operate in accordance with the concept of sustainable development. The aim of the research was to examine social awareness and responsibility among customers of service enterprises. The research was conducted with the use of an online survey, which allowed to show whether the customers of such enterprises are interested in the concept of the sustainable development, if they take it into account when using various services. The need for environmental education was indicated, which could strengthen the social awareness and responsibility among Polish customers.
