Currently, we are dealing with an extremely fast pace of development of information and computer technologies, the progress of which enables the preparation of technical documentation and inventory with the use of images from terrestrial digital cameras in a shorter time than before. The article describes the specificity of taking measurements using the traditional method with the use of a rangefinder and a measuring wheel in correlation with the more and more common and available on the market method of laser scanning, which enables the collection of data on the authentic state of preservation of the object. 3D scanning allows you to plan renovation and repair works, in particular in relation to historic and / or hard-to-reach buildings. Non-invasive tests allow for ongoing monitoring, which may contribute to the timely introduction of observed possible changes occurring in the object, such as deformation, buckling or deformation of the structure. The research object is the church of SW. Brykcjusz in Gościęcin, built in 1661, a wall in a carcass construction. in order to perform the technological process carried out by the Voivode of Protection. The presentation also includes a simulation of the model, which should be treated as an example of the possibility of using the working method of laser scanning of objects.

W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z możliwością realizacji obiektów wysokościowych z wykorzystaniem elementów drewna prasowanego typu Glulam, PSL (Parallel Strand Lumber), LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) i CLT (Cross Laminated Timber), zgodnie z wytycznymi konkursu Timber in the City, w ujęciu projektowania koncepcyjnego. Artykuł skupia się na autorskiej metodzie koncepcji projektowej, której główne założenie stanowi zaprojektowanie budynku mieszkalnego zlokalizowanego w Nowym Jorku (dzielnica Queens), o autorskiej technologii modularnej inspirowanej ciesielskimi złączami japońskimi. Binational Softwood Lumber Council – nonprofit (organizator konkursu) promuje nowatorskie postrzeganie produkcji, recykling i ochronę drzewostanu.

The article presents issues related to the possibility of implementing high-altitude objects, in accordance with the guidelines of the "Timber in the City" competition, in terms of conceptual design using elements of pressed wood type Glulam, PSL (Parallel Strand Lumber), LVL (Laminated Veneer Lumber) and CLT ( Cross Laminated Timber). The article mainly focuses on the author's method of design concept, the main assumption of which is the design of a residential building located in New York (Queens district), with a unique modular technology inspired by Japanese carpentry joints. Binational Softwood Lumber Council - nonprofit (competition organizer) promotes the perception of production, recycling and protection of stands.
