The CSM technology is used in deep soil mixing by means of specially designed cutter mounted on a drilling rig or a crane. It is equipped with cutter wheels that break up the soil matrix and mix it with cement slurry to a homogeneous soil-cement mortar. The system is applicable in various soil conditions – even in hard or layered strata. The in-situ soil is used as a construction material and very little amount of spoil is generated in the CSM-process. Having in mind constructing and economical advantages of CSM technology it can definitely be a perfect alternative for various palisades, sheet pilings or filtering diaphragms. This vibration-free process of forming walls and pillars is highly benefitial in constructions in close vicinity of urban development, railways or industrial sites.
