A method of estimating odour emissions from a mink farm with an iterative method using a referential pollutant dispersion model was presented in the paper. The results of 12 field odour measurement sessions in July-November period formed the experimental basis for the calculations. A total of 218 odour intensity assessments of ambient air within the reach of the plume were collected by an odour panel in various meteorological situations. The corresponding odour concentrations were calculated as c(od) [ou/m^3] = 10 S/k (k - Weber-Fechner coefficient). Utilising Pasquill model of odour dispersion volume, the emission (for 1000 minks) was estimated. Forecasts of odour nuisance of farms of various sizes were elaborated. The described method of measurements and calculations can be used during determining emission from other unorganised and not fully unorganised sources.
