The results of studies of friction factor and pressure loss coefficient in polypropylene socket pipes, segmental elbows (R/d < 1) and bends (R/d > I) and in systems of two or more such pipe fittings connected in series are analyzed and interpreted. The approximation of the friction factor of the studied pipelines yielded results which were found to be in quite good agreement with the ones calculated from the Prandtl-Kannan formula (for hydraulically smooth pipes). Formulas for the loss coefficient in pipelines built from elbows and bends connected contbrmingly (forming spiral loops) or alternat-ingly (forming sinusoidal waves) arc presented.
