Polymer composites modified by waste materials containing wood fibres

In recent years, the idea of sustainable development has become one of the most important requirements of civilization. Development of sustainable construction involves the need for the introduction of innovative technologies and solutions that will combine beneficial economic effects with taking care of the health and comfort of users, reducing the negative impact of the materials on the environment. Composites obtained from the use of waste materials are part of these assumptions. These include modified epoxy mortar containing waste wood fibres, described in this article. The modification consists in the substitution of sand by crushed waste boards, previously used as underlays for panels, in quantities of 0%, 10%, 20%, 35% and 50% by weight, respectively. Composites containing up to 20% of the modifier which were characterized by low water absorption, and good mechanical properties, also retained them after the process of cyclic freezing and thawing.

Wykorzystanie komputerów PC w połączeniu z dedykowanym oprogramowaniem znacznie zwiększa możliwości przyrządów laboratoryjnych. W artykule przedstawiono oprogramowanie przeznaczone do sterowania zasilaczami z rodziny LPS-300. Prezentowany program umożliwia sterowanie zmianami napięcia i prądu wyjściowego w czasie co znacznie podnosi funkcjonalność urządzenia.

The use of PCs in conjunction with dedicated software significantly enhances the capabilities of laboratory instruments. The paper presents software designed to control the power supply of the family LPS-300. Presented program allows you to control changes in output voltage and current at the time that increases the functionality of the device.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań analiz procesu przygotowania wsadu, tj. odkuwki z osiowo przebitym otworem, do walcowania obręczy w walcarce promieniowo - osiowej. Symulacje komputerowe wykonano za pomocą programu FORM - 2D. Celem przeprowadzonych symulacji spęczania i dziurowania wsadu do walcowania obręczy kolejowej było określenie wpływu kształtu matrycy (skosy matrycowe, promienie zaokrągleń matryc) oraz wsadu (smukłość, zaokrąglone krawędzie wsadu) na sposób płynięcia, rozkład i wartości temperatur oraz naprężeń w materiale odkuwki. Analizowano wpływ powyższych czynników na powstawanie wad po walcowaniu w walcarce promieniowo - osiowej.

In following study the analysis of ring preform swelling and piercing process in carried out. The preform for ring rolling is produced with HRP 4000 press. The plastometric research of steel for its production was performed. The temperature field in preform preparing process was estimated on the basis of research results, using FORM - 2D program. A batch temperature variation during forming process was determined for currently applied technology, and for a batch witch changed dimensions and a die with new construction. The new construction of a die and the changed batch allow for decreasing a risk of defects, witch are caused by overcooling of half - products surface and a low plasticity in these conditions.
