The investigation of the standardisation of 3D building modelling based on TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanning) and MLS (Mobile Laser Scanning) point clouds aims at assessing the possibility of obtaining various levels of detail (LOD) in the context of performance, accuracy, and structure condition evaluation. The two point clouds represent a heritage church in Żmijowiska. TLS generates more detailed data, which supports higher LOD. This characteristic is critical for the precise representation of intricate architectural details and condition monitoring as it facilitates detecting deformations, damage, and signs of material degradation. Although less accurate, MLS offers substantial speed, cost, and hardware availability benefits. Effective and affordable scanning makes this method useful for regular monitoring of building and infrastructure conditions. Moreover, MLS cloud information can be enhanced with auxiliary data, such as images taken with mobile devices (smartphone or camera), to improve model detail and promote better structural evaluation. The results suggest that MLS is more suitable when rapid and cost-effective visualisation and monitoring are important. On the other hand, TLS is advantageous for more detailed reconstructions where high-quality data is required to diagnose infrastructure condition and create high-fidelity digital models of cultural heritage. Therefore, the technology should be chosen depending on the required level of detail and available resources because each offers unique benefits for specific types of projects.
The article presents the results of preliminary research on the use of PCM-enhanced lightweight concrete panels as a component that helps reduce building overheating. The results of research on the thermal conductivity of concrete slabs using pumice aggregate impregnated with dodecanol (lauryl alcohol), an organic material that changes phase at +24°C. It has been shown that the use of concrete slabs containing 4% PCM mass as an internal finishing layer in building elements significantly increases the thermal capacity of the building, which translates into a change in its thermal characteristics. Computer simulations were also carried out for a simple model of a building with a lightweight wooden structure. The influence of the type of internal cladding on the thermal comfort of rooms in the summer period was analyzed, taking into account night cooling. The results indicated that the use of 3.5 cm thick PCM concrete slabs, compared to traditional plasterboards, effectively limits the increase in temperature inside the rooms and significantly reduces the duration of conditions causing thermal discomfort.

Przeprowadzono symulacje komputerowe prostego modelu budynku o lekkiej konstrukcji drewnianej. Analizowano wpływ rodzaju wewnętrznej okładziny na komfort termiczny pomieszczeń w okresie letnim, uwzględniając nocne chłodzenie. Wyniki wskazały, że zastosowanie betonowych płyt z PCM o grubości 3,5 cm skutecznie ogranicza wzrost temperatury wewnątrz pomieszczeń i znacznie redukuje czas trwania warunków powodujących dyskomfort cieplny w porównaniu z tradycyjnymi płytami gipsowo-kartonowymi.

The aim of the study presented in this article is to identify and analyse the problems which arise when creating a 3D model based on two-dimensional data and its import into a game engine and then developing algorithms to automate this process. The authors decided that they would use the Unity game engine to create an application presenting the results of modelling the interior of the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology. The work was divided into stages in which problems related to the adopted method were identified and the automation of selected activities was suggested. The main tasks performed during the study included processing the source data into a 3D model along with the correction of errors made during this process, detailing the model by adding characteristic elements of the building’s interior, and creating the so-called game scene in the Unity game engine along with the implementation of the application’s behaviour. The developed software can be integrated with indoor navigation systems, and the implemented scripts can be used during the preparation of other models.

W artykule przedstawiono efekty pracy nad utworzeniem modelu fragmentu zabytkowego kościoła parafialnego, na podstawie chmury punktów, uzyskanej z pomiaru terenowego metodą TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanning).

Generation of a true ortho is getting increasing popularity. To date, that product has been reserved mainly for airborne images. Nowadays, it is taken into account even for high resolution satellite images. True ortho is most important for cities with high buildings. When conventional orthoimages are generated, the relief displacement of the objects above the surface, such as buildings, trees are not considered. This means that some of the ground coverage may be hidden by objects. Conventional orthoimage lose accuracy. The development of true ortho seems to result from the automation of processing methods, which have so far been manual and costly. This becomes possible thanks to the improvement in the accuracy of Digital Surface Model acquisition with laser scanning or matching images. This paper describes some examples of high technology of true ortho generation. It attempts to solve the problem of the influence of laser scanner data density on the true ortho quality and production automation.
