This article presents a comparative analysis of augmented reality (AR) technologies – Vuforia, Immersal, MultiSet, and the ARCore Geospatial Application Programming Interface (API) – in terms of performance, accuracy, and interference tolerance for indoor and outdoor positioning and navigation. Two test environments were used: an indoor (laboratory) setup enabling detailed module testing, and a hybrid deployment on the Cracow University of Technology (CUT) campus to illustrate the feasibility of AR navigation in diverse environmental conditions. The research was conducted according to six scenarios. One involved outdoor GPS navigation, while the others concerned indoor navigation. Based on the measurements, recommendations are provided for selecting AR localization platforms for mixed navigation. As part of the detailed testing, an AR navigation system was implemented on the CUT campus as a combination of indoor and outdoor approaches. The final implementation was developed in the Unity environment. Software tests were conducted with particular emphasis on transitions between indoor and outdoor navigation.

Purpose: This study investigates the comparative effectiveness of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies in welding operator training, with a focus on perceived realism and potential for skill transfer. Given the high-risk nature of welding, the research explores safer and more efficient alternatives to traditional hands-on instruction. Design/methodology/approach: A total of 40 certified welders with at least five years of experience participated in a controlled comparison of VR and AR training systems at a laboratory in the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone in Poland. Both systems were enhanced with standardized instructions based on the Training Within Industry (TWI) Job Instruction method. After practicing the same welding task in both environments, participants rated the realism of each experience using a 5-point Likert scale. A paired sample t-test was used to assess statistical significance. Findings: The results show that AR training was perceived as significantly more realistic than VR, with average ratings of 4.13 and 2.55 respectively. Participants highlighted the physical interaction with real tools and objects in AR as a major factor contributing to this realism. VR, while immersive and safe, lacked haptic feedback and physical context, which reduced its perceived authenticity. The findings support the use of AR for enhancing skill transfer and suggest a blended training model using both technologies. Research limitations/implications: This study focuses on subjective assessments of realism without measuring actual skill improvement post-training. Future research should incorporate objective performance evaluations and explore long-term learning outcomes. Practical implications: The study provides evidence for training designers and manufacturers on how to integrate AR and VR in welding instruction. AR shows promise for improving trainee readiness and reducing material costs, while VR remains valuable for safe repetition of basic techniques. Originality/value: The article offers a novel comparison of VR and AR in the context of welding, based on evaluations from experienced welders rather than novices. It also integrates the TWI Job Instruction method into both training environments, providing a standardized instructional foundation for fair comparison and improved consistency.

Information Technology plays an important role in modern marketing by supporting various strategic and operational aspects. Marketing that relies on information technology is proven to help accelerate purchasing decisions by providing consumers with fast, interactive, and customized information. This study scrutinizes the interaction between augmented reality (AR), purchase decisions, consumer positive responses, and the moderating role of stickiness according to the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) model. AR acts as a stimulus (S) that triggers emotional and cognitive reactions in consumers as an organism (O), which ultimately results in a response in the form of a purchase decision (R). Understanding S-O-R integration is very important to accelerate purchasing decisions by utilizing the fear of missing out (FOMO), where brands can build exclusivity and urgency to encourage consumers to make purchases faster. Surveyed 400 millennial respondents in Bali, the collected and declared valid data were analyzed using SMART-PLS 3 software. The study reveals that positive response is an important mediator of the linkage between AR and purchasing decisions. Important study findings also indicate that stickiness increases consumer positive responses and strengthens the linkage between AR and positive responses. This study introduces the moderating role of stickiness in the S-O-R model, highlighting how AR-driven FOMO enhances positive consumer responses and accelerates purchasing decisions, offering novel insights to optimize AR-based marketing strategies. Managerial implications suggest that SMEs must elevate their AR quality by utilizing the S-O-R model to increase FOMO, focusing on engaging content to accelerate purchasing decisions.

Technologie informacyjne odgrywają ważną rolę we współczesnym marketingu, wspierając różne aspekty strategiczne i operacyjne.

The aim of this paper is to develop design options for Augmented Reality (AR)-based remote service business models to support the implementation of AR technology for remote services currently taking place in the manufacturing industry. The design options were developed using a qualitative content analysis based on the results of a systematic literature review and on focus group discussions with 19 serviceresponsible industry experts from 12 German manufacturing companies. The application of a conceptual approach to taxonomy development resulted in a novel morphological framework with a total of 18 dimensions, each with two to six distinct characteristics representing the targeted design options of AR-based remote service business models. Since previous research on AR for remote services has largely neglected the business model perspective, this work makes a significant contribution to this scarcely explored research field by providing a systematic basis for describing and classifying such business models in terms of their design. The results provide industrial practice with the most important aspects to consider when designing AR-based remote service business models.

Sport elektroniczny (esport) powstał z połączenia wewnętrznej potrzeby rywalizacji ludzi i rozwoju technologicznego w wielu powiązanych dziedzinach. Poszczególne informatyczne aspekty esportu to na przykład zastosowanie technologii wytwarzania gier, wirtualnej rzeczywistości (VR), rzeczywistości rozszerzonej (AR), uczenia maszynowego (ML), sztucznej inteligencji (AI) i inne.

A prototype speech recognition system integrated with MES/ERP databases and text mining techniques was developed in this study, tailored to the recording conditions and needs of the mine supervisor overseeing operations in heavy machinery chambers. The primary objective of the solution is to relieve the workload of the heavy equipment foreman by improving the recording of work progress in heavy machinery chambers, currently managed in electronic operational supervision and production reporting systems. Presently, several analogous systems operate within the organizational structure of KGHM, such as SAP modules covering HR, MM, PM/CMMS areas, and the eReport platform. Through a comprehensive examination of these systems, functional requirements for an interface utilizing automatic speech recognition (ASR) for recording entries, note-taking, email correspondence preparation, and retrieval of information necessary for ongoing decision-making were identified. The study also determined processes that can be fully automated and those only partially. The formulated guidelines played a pivotal role in shaping the development of software designed as a voice assistant. This software is highly responsive to strict defined set of commands, adept at handling mining industry terminology, and proficient in interfacing with the internal coding of KGHM's system databases. The software comprises a mobile application for Android devices and Python scripts integrating machine learning, text mining, and ASR tools. To evaluate the prototype solutions, a series of tests were conducted both underground and, on the surface, following defined experimental scenarios. A mechanism was established to determine the user's learning progress. Additionally, a survey among test participants was administered to identify areas for potential improvement in the context of prospective implementation.

W artykule pokazano efekt użycia biblioteki ThreeJS języka JavaScript w tworzeniu modeli obiektów trójwymiarowych do wykorzystania w procesie dydaktycznym jak i w popularniejszej obecnie rozszerzonej rzeczywistości (Augmented Reality).

It is often spoken and written about the use and benefits of BIM in the design, build, and exploitation phases. Based on an extensive analysis of scientific articles and practice, it has been noticed that, however, there is no comprehensive solution for the use of BIM at the stage of preparation for construction. And there is no relevant approach to the organization of construction though various software offers availability to calculate separate processes that are important for the organization of it. For example, based on the BIM model, determine the optimal place for the tower crane. But the problem is that such a local solution does not represent a comprehensive approach and does not represent apprehensive construction planning. It means, currently there is no method of planning, which will answer the questions: whether to choose a tower crane or a truck crane, where is the optimal place for unloading construction materials, considering the location of the crane, etc. Therefore, this article presents the vision and strategy of BIM development at the construction stage. The problem that should be solved now is the creation the strategy that will allow to improve the efficiency of construction works, adjusting them to the current situation in an optimal way. Therefore, the aim of the article is to combine separate ideas of BIM using in construction management as a whole and call scientists to discuss and supplement the topics of using BIM in construction management.
