Przestawiono stan techniczny żelbetowego zbiornika na wodę pitną po 20-letniej eksploatacji. Opisano i sklasyfikowano występujące uszkodzenia oraz podano przyczyny ich powstania. Dla potrzeb realizacji prac naprawczych dobrano materiały i technologie ich wykonania gwarantujące spełnienie aktualnych wymagań stawianych tego typu obiektom. Doszczelnienie wewnętrznych powierzchni żelbetowych zbiornika oraz polepszenie ekologicznych warunków gromadzenia wody do spożycia osiągnięto stosując natrysk zaprawy zawierającej mikrokrzemionkę.

The technical condition of the reinforced concrete reservoir was moved in the report on drinking water after 20-years exploitation. Describe and classify stepping out damages and give the causes of their rise. Materials and the technologies of their realization were chosen for the needs of the realization of repair works the guaranteeing fulfilment of current requirements placed this type the objects. Applying the sprayed concrete including of the microsilica for the seal (packing) of the internal reinforced concretes surfaces of the reservoir and improvement of the ecological conditions of accumulating water to consumption were reached.

W artykule przestawiono wpływ błędów projektowych i wykonawczych na trwałość i bezpieczeństwo mieszanej, żelbetowo-stalowej, konstrukcji wielofunkcyjnej komory fermentacyjnej zlokalizowanej w oczyszczalni ścieków. Fundament przedmiotowego obiektu został rozwiązany w postaci masywnej konstrukcji żelbetowej, natomiast nadziemną część komory zbiornika zaprojektowano w konstrukcji stalowej. Błędy popełnione na etapie projektowania oraz podczas wykonywania płyty fundamentowej przyczyniły się do powstania stanu zarysowania zewnętrznej i wewnętrznej powierzchni nadziemnej części fundamentu. Skrośny charakter niektórych rys spowodował utratę szczelności komory zbiornika doprowadzając do przedostawania się gromadzonych nieczystości do podłoża gruntowego.

The paper covers the problem of the influence of project and executive mistakes on durability and safety of the joint concrete-steel construction of the versatile fermentation chamber (WKF) in the sewage treatment plant. The foundation of the object consists of a massive reinforced concrete construction, whereas the superstructure of reservoir's chamber has been designed in a steel construction. The mistakes, which had been committed on the stage of projecting the massive reinforced concrete foundation as well as while its realization, have resulted in scratches of the outer and inner surface of the superstructure part of the foundation. A slanting character of particular cracks has led to the loss of tightness of the chamber and subsequently has caused leaking of sewage into the ground.

The paper presents problems which arised in the 20-years period of exploitation of the pumped-storage power station Porąbka-Żar. It discusses also observed failings of design and construction of that object, particularly concerning the turbin sets, as well as the carried out modernizing works which improve the safety conditions of work of the station. There is also presented an analysis of damages to-the plant which occurred within the past period of exploitation of the power station and the undertaken preventive measurs.

Elektrownia wodna Porąbka-Żar była i pozostaje jedną z największych budowli hydroenergetycznych w Polsce. Jest niewątpliwie jedną z najciekawszych pod względem technicznym i najtrudniejszych w realizacji budowli tego typu. Redakcja z przyjemnością udostępniała swoje tamy autorom. Autorzy uznali, że z okazji tak pięknego jubileuszu warto przypomnieć hydrotechnikom, energetykom i specjalistom innych branż o istnieniu takiej elektrowni i problemach, jakie wystąpiły w toku przygotowania i realizacji tego unikatowego wówczas w skali europejskiej kompleksu energetycznego.

The big pumped-storage power station Porqbka-Zar -constructed 20 years ago in Be skid Maty -is conspicuous by a number of unconventional technical solutions. Particularly a lot of new creative ideas was needed in planning and building of the upper reservoir founded on the mountain Żar on weak flysch bedding, by driving the big underground chamber of the engine house and the long high--pressure armoured tunnels which convey water to the turbine pumps. There were also some failures as for instance the need to replace all the high speed generators after a very short period of work and the premature ageing of the aspfaltic concrete shields. The energetistic and economics results achieved in the course of exploitation proved the rightness of the accepted conception and the applied technical solutions.
