Abstrakty
EN An account of research activities on the devices improving the manoeuvring abilities carried out at the Gdansk University of Technology is reviewed. These devices could be placed on the bulbous bow (opening bulbous bow) and at the stern end (wake pressure equalising device, stern shield, opening rudder). Researches with segments of models of these devices in a cavitation tunnel and on self propelled models of ships in a towing tank were performed as well as on open lakes.
