Abstrakty
EN A series of 18-membered N6 macrocyclic complexes was synthesized by template condensation of alfa,alfa'-dibromo-o-xylene and 2,6-diaminopyridine. The proposed stoichiometry and nature of the macrocyclic complexes have been confirmed on the basis of elemental analyses and conductivity data, respectively. The bonding in these complexes has been elucidated from the IR, and 1H-NMR spectral studies, while the overall geometry has been deduced from the UV-visible, magnetic measurements and EPR spectra.
