The investigations of the effectiveness of the subgrade reinforcement with protective layers

The paper presents the results of the investigation of deformability of a modern ized subgrade. The investigation have been carried out on a section of E-20 line where the subgrade was reconstructed using two methods of track works and various materials for protective layers. Three scries of measurements of deformation modules have been taken in the first year of operationof the line the results of which have been analysed in this paper.
